SPEECH THERAPY:
Jade Westmoreland, M.S., CCC-SLP
Jade Westmoreland (Hughes) began Uplift Pediatric Therapy, LLC in June, 2024 in Mount Airy, NC. Jade is a Mount Airy native, and lives locally with her husband and daughter. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2017 from East Carolina University. She then went on to attain her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology in 2019 from Appalachian State University. Jade has clinical experience in a variety of settings including the school system, private practice, and skilled nursing. Special interests include articulation and phonology, and early language development.
Hailey Frazier, M.S., CCC-SLP
Hailey Frazier is a pediatric speech-language pathologist who enjoys helping children build confidence in their communication skills. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2021 from Appalachian State University and Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology in 2024 from Radford University. With experiences providing services in home health, private practice, and school settings, Hailey especially enjoys working on articulation/phonology and AAC. In her free time, you can catch her reading or needle pointing!
Bailey Atkins, SLP- Assistant
Bailey Atkins joined the Uplift Pediatric team as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant in January 2026. She is a Mount Airy native, born and raised. She graduated cum laude from Appalachian State University in 2024 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders. She has clinical experience in both private practice and ABA settings. Her professional interests include Autism Spectrum Disorder, early language development, and expressive and receptive language skills. She is passionate about supporting the children and families in this community and look forward to contributing to the exceptional care provided at Uplift Pediatric.
Hannah Spangler, SLP- Assistant
Hannah Spangler is a Certified Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Radford University (Class of 2023). Since graduating, she has been working in outpatient pediatric speech therapy and is passionate about helping children grow in their communication skills through fun, individualized support.
A lifelong resident of Hillsville, VA, Hannah is proud to serve families in the Mount Airy area and values the opportunity to make a positive impact in her community.
Outside of work, Hannah enjoys being outdoors, spending time with her family, and playing with her dogs.
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY:
Angelika Wolf, OTD, OTR/L
Angelika is an occupational therapist with 30 years experience. She obtained her Bachelor of Occupational Therapy degree from the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa in 1994, and her Doctorate of Occupational Therapy from Quinnipiac University in 2017.
Angelika began practicing occupational therapy in the US in 1995 and transitioned from the skilled nursing setting to pediatric practice in 2003. Her experiences include school-based therapies in FL and GA, outpatient pediatric practice, where she was the owner of Achievement Therapies, LLC in Decatur GA, and specialist consultant to NeuroNet Learning, LLC, a therapeutic software company.
In 2017 Angelika transitioned to academia where she held the position of Clinical Associate Professor and Capstone Coordinator in the doctoral level Occupational Therapy Program at Emory & Henry University, in Marion, VA until May 2024. Angelika moved to Mount Airy, NC to pursue her homesteading dream, and is excited to also return to outpatient practice to assist rural families in functional skill development for selfcare, feeding and independent living skills.
Malee Lambert Cook, OTD, OTR/L
Malee earned her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Emory & Henry University School of Health Sciences and her undergraduate degree in Health Sciences from James Madison University. She has always loved working with neurodivergent children and brings experience from a variety of clinical settings. Malee has a special passion for sensory processing and enjoys helping children better understand their bodies, regulate their emotions, and build confidence through meaningful, play-based activities. She completed her doctoral capstone in a pediatric pain clinic, where she supported children experiencing chronic pain to improve participation in daily routines and activities they love. When she’s not in the clinic, Malee enjoys spending time with her husband and their two dogs.
Angela Harris, OTR/L
Angela has spent many years in the medical field. She originally worked as a pediatric nurse before she obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy from the Jefferson College of Health Science in 1999. She started her own contracting company in early 2003 where she provided Occupational Therapy services in a variety of settings. Her experiences included acute care, long-term rehabilitation, out-patient, home-health, school-based therapy, and early childhood intervention. Her passion is serving families and children with special needs using play-based interventions to improve sensory regulation and functional life skills.
Outside of work, Angela enjoys spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and extended family. She and her husband have a small homestead where they enjoy raising chickens, gardening, canning, and the many blessings that come from God.
OFFICE ADMINISTRATION:
Katlyn Castillo, Front Desk Office Manager
Katlyn is a mom of four and currently in school full time pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Human Services. Most of her experience with children comes from being a parent, along with several years working in the medical field, where she learned the importance of empathy, patience, and clear communication. When she’s not in school, she is usually with her children or spending time on their family’s mini farm.
